Naked champion swimmer accused of killing security guard with water bottle abandoned California college

A swimming champion accused of beating a security guard to death in Hawaii with a giant water bottle while naked had stopped attending the school last year, officials confirmed.Legend Storer, 20, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and indecent exposure charges stemming from the bizarre Maui attack.Concordia University Irvine confirmed Monday Storer attended the private Orange County school and competed on its men’s swim team.But after the university ended its men’s swimming program in May 2025, Storer did not return as a student, the Orange County Register reported.

“After Concordia discontinued the Men’s Swim program in May 2025, Legend did not return as a student,” Ann Ashmon, the school’s associate vice president of strategic communications, told the paper.Storer is accused of breaking into a condominium complex office in Kahana, Maui, at around 1:45 a.m.
