A Texas mom accused of killing her 3-year-old daughter by throwing her against a wall has been busted in Mexico after nearly 30 years on the run, officials announced.Maria Narez, now 48, was accused of killing her daughter Kasandra White in November 1996 by shaking, beating and then throwing her in her Fort Worth home.The then-teen mom was indicted by a grand jury the following year — but vanished after a judge lowered her bond to $25,000, according to court documents reviewed by Fox 4.A warrant was issued for her arrest in 1997 after her bond was forfeited and she fled across the border, where she hid out for almost 30 years.“The DA’s office never gave up on bringing Narez back to face the charge against her and answer for the death of her daughter,” the county’s District Attorney’s office said in a statement.Additional details about where she was arrested and what she had been doing for the last 29 years were not immediately available.Narez was a 19-year-old grocery store clerk in 1996 when she allegedly chucked the child after she refused to go to bed, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.She told investigators she was feeling depressed and stressed when she snapped.Morning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.
