when she realized he was choking.She pulled the car over near the 300 block of East Foothill Boulevard and frantically called 911.The distraught mother was holding her son’s limp body on the sidewalk when the cops arrived.One of the officers grabbed the LifeVac device from his vehicle and tried to clear the object stuck in the child’s airway, then he and other cops laid the boy down on the sidewalk and continued to create suction with the device to dislodge the object.It was only after several compressions that the child finally took a breath and gained consciousness, authorities said.The tot was taken to a local hospital by the Rialto Fire Department for further evaluation and treatment, the police said.Other body-cam footage shows the mother sitting with the recovering child in her lap on a hospital bed as she thanked the officers for their quick action.“This incident highlights the importance of equipping first responders with lifesaving tools and providing officers with the training necessary to respond effectively during critical medical emergencies,” Rialto PD Captain Lamont Quarker told KTLA....
