Car erupts into massive fireball killing driver near LAs iconic Griffith Observatory

A driver was killed early Thursday after a car erupted into flames in a fiery crash near Griffith Park, authorities said.The single-vehicle wreck was reported around 2:24 a.m.on Forest Lawn Drive, just south of the 134 Freeway, the LAPD confirmed to the California Post.Firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze, which also caught a nearby tree on fire and damaged a traffic signal.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
