Anthropic investors salivate over expected $2 trillion valuation in upcoming IPO: report

Anthropic investors are salivating over the AI giant’s forthcoming IPO, expecting a jaw-dropping valuation of at least $2 trillion — blowing past the record set by Elon Musk’s SpaceX earlier this summer. The Dario Amodei-led AI lab’s surging revenue could allow it to more than double its current valuation in its IPO, which is expected around October, half a dozen investors in the company told the Financial Times. If the company pulls off such a lofty listing, Anthropic’s early check writers would rake in billions of dollars in profits The rosy projections – aided by a recent charm offensive from Amodei – come as Anthropic has been navigating thorny challenges like rising competition from Chinese rivals, looming AI regulation and a rocky relationship with the White House.
