Fresh off a momentous hometown headline of Chicago’s iconic Lollapalooza festival, John Summit has announced a massive concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.Ad 0:00 Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 The stadium performance on December 12 stands as the finale of Summit’s upcoming ‘CTRL ESCAPE’ arena tour, which is scheduled to kick off October 1 in Champaign, Illinois, the college town where he studied accounting before launching a career in the field.
The tour takes its name from his sophomore album, which dropped on Tax Day and effectively turned the date he once dreaded into a celebration of the career that replaced it.To that end, the chart-topping DJ recently said he pulled inspiration from the hit Apple TV+ series Severance when developing the stage production.
“I’m going to bring the corporate cubicle kind of lifestyle to the stage,” Summit said.“It’s kind of like a Severance-type vibe, but turning these arenas into giant corporate offices and also a rave.” Summit’s ‘CTRL ESCAPE’ run includes performances in Bostom, Miami, Philly and Boston, among other major cities.
A pre-sale for the LA stadium gig will begin Wednesday, August 19 at 10am PT before general tickets release the next day at the same time.Check out the full list of tour dates below.
