Cardinals second-round pick Chase Bisontis season in jeopardy after crushing injury: Not good

Arizona might have just lost a key piece to its offensive line.Chase Bisontis, the No.34 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, was lost to injury two games into the preseason after his left knee was fallen on during the third quarter of the Cardinals’ 27-14 win over the Raiders on Thursday.Bisontis was helped off the field by trainers and eventually carted to the locker room. Head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters that the injury is “not good.”“We’ve got to run some more tests, but I’d say not good right now,” he said.

“But we’ve got to run the test.”Bisontis starred for Texas A&M last season as an All-SEC player who did not allow a sack for the 11-2 Aggies.Bisontis was a highly coveted four-star offensive line recruit while attending Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J., with offers from at least 30 college football programs. He was competing with third-year pro Isaiah Adams for the starting right guard duty as a rookie and is a massive piece of their future offensive line plans.Arizona is going with pocket passer Jacoby Brissett as the starting quarterback after moving on from the highly mobile Kyler Murray, who was recently named the starter in Minnesota. The Cardinals’ offensive line was already in rather dire straits, as they’re ranked the No.22 unit in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus, though Bisontis was not a projected starter in their initial rankings.Arizona opens the season in Los Angeles against the Chargers on Sept.
