Scottie Schefflers new son Remy joins dad in winners circle for first time in heartfelt moment

Scottie Scheffler finally got back into the winner’s circle on Sunday, and this time there was a new member of the family waiting for him.The World No.1 golfer celebrated his dominant victory at the FedEx St.
Jude Championship alongside wife Meredith and their two sons, Bennett and four-month-old Remy, marking the first time his youngest son was there for one of his PGA Tour wins.Scheffler completed an eight-shot victory at TPC Southwind in Memphis, the largest margin in tournament history, before his family joined him on the 18th green.Meredith carried Remy, who wore an oversized cap on the hot afternoon, while Scheffler held Bennett as the family celebrated together.“Yay, Dada!” Meredith said while helping the boys take in the moment.CBS Golf fittingly labeled it “The first win for baby Remy Scheffler.”The victory was Scheffler’s 21st on the PGA Tour and his first since winning The American Express in January — before Remy was born in March. It also ended a stretch of more than 200 days without a victory for Scheffler, who had come painfully close several times this season with five runner-up finishes.“I felt like I had some close calls this year, so it was nice to finish the tournament off,” Scheffler said afterward.“I felt like a week like this was coming.”For Scheffler, however, the family celebration carried as much weight as the trophy. The 30-year-old has repeatedly spoken about how his priorities extend beyond golf, once saying he would “much rather be a great father” than a great golfer. He also credited Meredith and their growing family earlier this year for keeping his career in perspective.“It takes a lot of work for me to be able to do this for a living, and it’s a lot of sacrifice for her,” Scheffler said.
“To be able to celebrate those moments for both of us is really cool.”Sunday provided another one of those moments.Only this time, Remy finally got to be part of the victory photo....
