The biting lawsuit lingering over Puka Nacua’s head could remain there for possibly two more years.Court records viewed by the California Post on Monday show that a Los Angeles County judge set a trial date in the civil case between the Los Angeles Rams superstar and his bite accuser, Madison Atiabi, for March 27, 2028.At a hearing in a Santa Monica courthouse, the judge called the matter “a firm trial date,” adding that “there shall not be any continuances without good cause,” according to a minutes order obtained by The Post.The document estimated the trial would last around six days.A final status conference in the case, meanwhile, was set for March 14, 2028.Atiabi initially filed her lawsuit against Nacua on March 25, alleging he terrorized her while the two were out partying with mutual friends on New Year’s Eve.Atiabi alleged in her suit that Nacua muttered anti-semitic remarks at a dinner before he bit her on her shoulder when they were in a sprinter van on their way to their next location.Atiabi is suing for gender violence, assault and battery and negligence.Nacua, through his attorney, has denied making any insensitive remarks, though he has acknowledged that he bit Atiabi.He, however, stated the action was not nefarious and was a merely a result of mutual “horseplay.”Nacua went to rehab a short time after the incident, and at a practice in May, he called it and other headlines he garnered this offseason “a moment for me to learn from kind of some of the situations I was putting myself in.”“And then also having just an awareness of how I’m conducting myself in and out of this football field,” Nacua said....
