Oreo takes inspiration from some of Americas favorite fried foods in wild new flavor lineup

Oreo has unveiled a “first-of-its-kind” meat-flavored cookie as part of a new limited-time lineup of sweets.The tenacious treat is one of three new flavors introduced as part of Oreo’s new “Twist, Lick, Vote” campaign, where fans can vote for their favorite of the trio to return in 2027.Fans can cast their vote on the Oreo website from August 17 to October 12.A winner will be announced on October 13.Each fan that casts a vote has the chance to win a year’s supply of original Oreo cookies, according to a press release from the company.
The new Banana Pudding Oreo packs layers of banana and vanilla pudding between two vanilla wafered cookies, while the Deep Fried Oreo are fried dough-flavored cookies with layers of dark chocolate and fried dough flavored creme.The Chicken & Waffles Oreo takes it name from the classic southern dish which pairs fried chicken with waffles.The cookie features a waffle texture filled with a dual-layer creme that carries notes of fried chicken and maple syrup.Fans reacted to the bizarre new cookie on social media.“I know Chicken & Waffles is the weird one and I know I’m buying it first,” one commenter wrote on X.“If Chicken 7 waffles Wins I’m suing Oreo for crimes against humanity,” another fan joked.
“I vote for deep fried oreos.They had them at the fair last year.
