The latest update transforms those internal tags into public-facing indicators, forcing providers to declare AI involvement whenever machine-learning algorithms generate a material portion of a recording.Apple Music explicitly categorizes platform-generated content as any track primarily derived from a generative AI service.
Under the revised guidelines, rightsholders will face mandatory disclosure rules for full synthetic generations as well as partial AI assistance during production.“Content providers will be required to include AI Transparency Tags in any instance where AI was used to create a material portion of the content, including tracks that are AI platform generated,” Apple Music said.
