“This project has been a long time coming,” Blanke said in a statement.“It’s been a journey of learning and self-discovery.
The music is an expression of old and new influences, allowing me to release the kinds of songs I haven’t had the opportunity to yet.” He added that the album represents “all the different genres and sounds” he has explored over the last decade, while its visual world documents “the fall of the earth, and the rise of a new one.” EDGE OF THE WORLD includes previously released fan-favorites such as ‘Internal Shell,’ ‘Colder’ and ‘Beautiful Tragedy,’ which are woven into the larger album narrative. The album features collaborations with Jason Ross, ZOHARA, Virtual Riot, 1788-L and Class of 2025 artist Linney, among others.
‘Illuminate’ crystallizes a reunion between Blanke and 1788-L that delivers one of the album’s hardest-hitting moments.Elsewhere, Ross and ZOHARA join him on ‘Born Again,’ Linney on ‘Hysteria,’ EDDIE and NEVVE on ‘Entropy,’ and dubstep virtuoso Virtual Riot on ‘Ultraliminal.’ The album arrives during a defining stretch for Blanke, who has surpassed 250 million combined streams and collaborated with artists including ILLENIUM, REZZ, Seven Lions, Zeds Dead, Gryffin, NGHTMRE, Big Gigantic and Dabin.
