Alesso has dropped a new EP, The One, channeling the visceral house sound of his Body Hi project to formally release a pair of tracks that had turned heads in his recent performances.Ad 0:00 Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 Released jointly through his Body Hi imprint and Tomorrowland Music, The One marks a studio extension of Alesso’s touring concept of the same name.
The project, he said, grew organically from the ambitious structural design of his recent arena tour.“When I started my tour for this year I ran into one question, what can I do to make this one different?” Alesso said.
“After going through countless production designs, version after version, this diamond structure finally was coming to life.Working with some of the smartest and most creative fabricators, the vision of the entire show began to form.” “The centerpiece of the tour, something that is so focal, you get lost in it during the show,” he continued.
“In all my years of touring, there is truly nothing like it, which is why I called it ‘The One.’ This EP embodies my vision for this show and the music surrounding it.” The One comprises ‘Get Your Groove On’ and ‘Smoke Machine,’ both of which arrive hotly anticipated after appearing in many of the Swedish EDM superstar’s DJ sets over the past year.The former track has been galvanizing crowds as the opener of Alesso’s sets before the latter cranks the energy even further, delivering propulsive electro with incandescent rhythms and dark rave synths.
