Swedish Venue Hosting Memorial Screenings 10 Years After Avicii's Final Performance

Fans of Avicii will gather in Sweden this week to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the legendary DJ’s final performance.Scheduled for Friday, August 28, the memorial event will take place at The Node in Stockholm under the organization of the Avicii Experience.
Ad 0:00 Click for sound 0:00 / 0:00 The evening will feature two screenings, which alternate every half-hour: Avicii – My Last Show, the Swedish film capturing what would ultimately be his last performance, a DJ set at Ushuaïa Ibiza on August 28, 2016; and Exclusive Material From Malmö, which presents footage from his final show in Sweden, which took place August 5, 2016 at Tallriken, an event space within Malmö’s lush Pildammsparken park.Earlier that year, Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, publicly announced his intention to retire from live touring following years of grueling schedules, physical exhaustion and mental health issues.
His decision led to an immediate restructuring of his professional life, including a split from his longtime management team as he shifted his focus away from the global festival circuit toward studio production.Bergling tragically died by suicide two years later, in April 2018, at the age of 28.
