It’s past midnight when I hurdle myself into the elevator bound for the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards.The music hasn’t even started but my ears are already popping as I’m led to David Bissette, aka Cloonee.
The in-demand DJ is gearing up for the second act of his night at The Edge.Just weeks ago, he announced his debut album, “Are You Still You?”, and tonight he’s wrapping a five-hour set at his sold-out Brooklyn Army Terminal show before heading to the afterparty in the sky.By any reasonable standard, the 30-year-old should probably be asleep.
But instead, after a quick Uber ride, which he calls his recovery, he’s back to work.This time, on a deck 1,100 feet above Manhattan.
He pours himself his drink of choice, a tequila soda, and jokes, “I’m on a diet.”We have a few minutes to chat before he’s shuttled onstage.Somehow, despite the five-hour set, the lack of sleep and the fact that he’s about to do it all over again, he seems remarkably unfazed.For Cloonee, this is just your average Saturday-night-into-Sunday-morning.Below, you’ll find details about his upcoming appearance at the 2026 Day Trip Festival as well as excerpts from an interview The Post conducted with Cloonee.Many of the biggest names in house.
