An Arizona grandfather is set to lose both his legs after he tripped and collapsed on a sidewalk during a scorching 120-degree day.Grant Siler, 72, from Mohave County, laid helpless after falling during a walk in Bullhead City, which saw his body temperature rise to over 105 degrees, on Aug.3.He fell outside and was unable to get up for at least an hour, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his family.By the time someone discovered him, he had suffered severe burns across multiple parts of his body from the extreme heat.Siler was rushed to a Las Vegas burn intensive care unit, where doctors also found he was suffering from heat stroke and multiple organ shock.During surgery, doctors discovered the tissue in Siler’s right leg had been so badly damaged that it was unlikely to ever completely heal, according to an update posted by his family.
