When asked if his presence was due to York’s recent time behind bars, the officer stated, “You’d have to ask him.”The deputy was off-duty and had been assigned to the home via Nickel Group, a security solutions company, according to a spokesperson for the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.The office added that a guard had patrolled the home before.The Mahoning County elections office confirmed York registered earlier this year at the Southland avenue his parents purchased in 2011, per property records.Earlier this year, York — who is the midst of divorce proceedings — was irate over the proposed California billionaire tax, according to a source with knowledge of the matter, and he began telling people he was no longer a California resident.It’s unclear if the state wealth tax was the deciding factor in changing his residence to the Buckeye State from the ultra-exclusive Bay Area town of Los Altos Hills where he lived in a luxury mansion with his family.York, 46, filed for divorce from wife Danielle Belluomini on May 11, citing irreconcilable differences.
