US Army Black Hawk helicopter goes down during training mishap

A US Army Blackhawk helicopter with four soldiers on board went down during a training exercise in the Colorado mountains due to an “aviation mishap,” military officials said.Video shows theheavily damaged chopper surrounded by downed trees after the Tuesday morning crash on the east side of Thorodin Mountain, just outside of Denver — which miraculously ended without any injjuries.“The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) is aware of an August 25, 2026, aviation mishap during routine training operations near Denver, Colorado,” the U.S.Army Special Operations Aviation Command told Denver7 in a statement about the incident. “Because this is currently the subject of an active safety investigation, we cannot provide additional comment or information at this time.”The Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, which announced the crash around 11:30 a.m., confirmed there is no reported fuel leak or fire associated with the incident that could threaten the local community....
