A registered sex offender with a yearslong history of sniffing women’s butts in public has been busted again after cops said he was caught “hunkered down” inside Southern California businesses — and apparently “sniffing someone out.”Glendale police were called to an unidentified business in the 1500 block of Glenoaks Boulevard shortly after 3:30 p.m.Friday over reports of a suspicious man lurking inside.

By clicking above you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.Never miss a story The man was spotted crouched down in the aisles and appeared to be “sniffing someone out,” police said, according to KTLA.As officers wrapped up their response, another call came from the Marshalls on Brand Boulevard and Broadway reporting a similar incident.Police reviewed surveillance footage from both locations and identified the suspect as 39-year-old Calese Crowder.Crowder was tracked down shortly after in the 100 block of South Brand Boulevard and arrested for allegedly violating his parole.The bust is the latest bizarre allegation involving Crowder — a registered sex offender whose disturbing history of serial “butt-sniffing” incidents stretches back years.Crowder was arrested in August 2025 following another alleged sniffing incident inside a Burbank store.
This was about a month after he was busted for similar behavior at the city’s Empire Center shopping complex.In the earlier case, cops were called to a Nordstrom Rack after receiving reports of a suspicious man loitering in the women’s department.Surveillance footage showed Crowder following a female shopper through the store before crouching behind her and “engaging in lewd behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks,” Burbank police said.He was later found and arrested at a nearby Walmart.Crowder was already on paro...
