Skrillex, Porter Robinson and Ninajirachi joined forces for a rare b2b DJ set at the Gas Works Day Party, the show that simultaneously also ended Skrillex’s 14-year absence from the city of Seattle.Showbox Presents held the event over the weekend at Gas Works Park, the National Register-listed former gasification plant on the shore of Lake Union.
Skrillex had not played the city since Bumbershoot in 2012, but seemed eager to make up for lost time as the format of the showcase was notably akin to a near-continuous set of high-energy b2b performances.Per a timestamped tracklist, the extended clip from DerekD2 opens on ‘First Of The Year’ before turning to Ninajirachi’s edit of ‘Angel Music.’ Skrillex and Virtual Riot’s ‘WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING’ follows along with Skrillex’s remix of Avicii’s ‘Levels’ and an ISOxo edit of the same track.
Also heard in the set is ‘WannaCry,’ which is arguably its hinge.Robinson notably debuted the Ninajirachi collaboration by crashing the EDM.com Class of 2026 artist’s Coachella set earlier this year before touring it for three months and ultimately releasing it this summer.
