Exclusive | Fauci violated physician oath with COVID shutdowns, vaccine push, top doctor tells Pod Force One
WASHINGTON — Anthony Fauci “violated his oath as a physician” when he advocated for massive shutdowns during the COVID pandemic and pushed vaccines as the “solution to everything,” Dr.Monique Yohanan charged in an interview for The Post’s Pod Force One podcast.Yohanan, a fellow with the International Women’s Forum who advised the White House on the new vaccine schedule, told The Post’s Miranda Devine that Fauci “certainly does not lack for ego.”“Throughout his career, [he] has been very committed to the idea of vaccines as sort of the solution to everything,” she said.Fauci, who helped lead the nation’s COVID response, faced heavy criticism for advocating for the public shutdowns of schools and businesses so people could social distance during the pandemic.“He wanted the glory of this, but he has had no interest in any of the accountability,” Yohanan said on the podcast, which aired Wednesday.Fauci has defended his actions, saying events rapidly change during a pandemic and the response evolves over time.“When you’re dealing with a new outbreak, things change,” Fauci said in June at a congressional hearing.
“The scientific process collects the information that will allow you, at that time, to make a determination or recommendation or a guideline.”“As things evolve and change and you get more information, it is important that you use the scientific process to gain that information and perhaps change the way you think of things, change your guidelines and change your recommendation,” he added.Yohanan, an advocate of individual choices in healthcare, said Fauci “just violated his oath as a physician; that’s supposed to mean something.”“As a doctor and as a mom, I am furious.I am furious at what he did to my profession, and I am furious as a mom that he still doesn’t get it.
