Texas preacher protests lowering American flag at post office for Dolly Parton as he defies Trumps order

A Texas street preacher raised the American flag back to full-staff at a post office Sunday — defying President Trump’s order honoring Dolly Parton.David Grisham put “Old Glory” back up above the Borger Post Office in the Texas Panhandle after Trump ordered flags to be lowered for one week following the country icon’s death at age 80.“She’s never served in the United States government in any capacity officially,” Grisham said in a video posted to Facebook.“I don’t think this is an appropriate way to honor her.”Grisham demanded half-staff honors should be reserved for service members only.“I don’t think it’s the United States government’s business to honor some country western star.
