2026 NFL predictions, picks: Rams are overvalued in loaded NFC West
All eyes will be on the NFC West this upcoming season.The Rams enter the season having made the splashiest offseason moves of any team in the NFL with the addition of two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, two-time All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie and getting Aaron Donald out of retirement.But the division is as loaded with contenders as the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks and 49ers are all expected to be in the mix and challenged Los Angeles, which has the lowest championship odds.On paper, the Rams look like a super team.
They have the reigning MVP at quarterback with Matt Stafford playing the best football of his career.The aforementioned defense was already top five in the NFL last season and head coach Sean McVay is a proven winner.Football isn’t played on paper, though, and in some ways it feels like the Rams have a bigger target on their backs than the two teams who played for the Lombardi trophy last season.
