Tony Romo will be required to spend time behind bars if he’s found guilty of another OWI-related offense in the next decade, court documents obtained by the California Post on Friday showed.A provision of the plea deal that Romo accepted from prosecutors to close out his OWI case in Wisconsin earlier this week stated that another drinking-and-driving conviction in the next 10 years will require “a Mandatory Jail Sentence” for the ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback, the documents stated.Other conditions that Romo, 46, agreed to include the installation of an ignition interlock device on all of his vehicles, a fine of over $700 and the revocation of his driver’s license for the next six months, according to the documents.Romo, who ended up issuing a no contest plea to OWI after signing off on the pact, also promised to complete an alcohol assessment program.In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop all other citations that Romo was facing.The CBS broadcaster was hit with four separate citations — one for OWI, one for possessing open intoxicants in a moving vehicle, one for unsafe passing on right and one for refusing to take test for intoxication after arrest — after police accused him of drinking and driving on a Milwaukee highway on July 23 following a round of golf.Romo was pulled over after making an unsafe lane change and was later taken into custody after exhibiting signs of being impaired during the stop, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.Tests revealed Romo had a blood-alcohol level of .15, nearly double the legal limit, according to a court filing obtained by TMJ4 this week.Romo broke his silence on the incident in a lengthy post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, writing that substance-abuse problems that he developed from several back procedures during his NFL career led him to the July encounter with cops.“Multiple back surgeries ended my career earlier than I expected and left me with constant, debilitating pain,” Romo sai...
