AG James Trump obsession: Letters to the Editor Sept. 7, 2026

The Issue: AG Letitia James’ aide allegedly ordering staff to target people associated with President Trump.Can someone please tell me how it’s possible for Attorney General Letitia James to still have a license to practice law, much less a job, after what we’ve witnessed over the past decade (“Tish’s ‘lawfare’ foul,” Sept.2)?She campaigned on targeting President Trump in real time and has proven that intention in every conceivable manner.Meanwhile, Trump has targeted people who have actually broken laws, trashed our Constitution, invented false conspiracies against our highest office, indulged in fraud and committed treason.

And even then, no arrests? What is wrong with our justice system?K.J.JonesBear, Del.Prosecutors have enormous power to investigate and charge people and organizations for crimes.

So, unless they act ethically, impartially and with discretion, these powers are easily abused to target political enemies.This is shown by James’ Trump witch hunt.The courts, career prosecutors and bar associations need to step up to save the justice system from becoming a tool of political warfare and destroying the ideal of treating all citizens equally under the law.Paul HudsonSarasota, Fla.James weaponized her legal power to have her aides go after Trump and dig up any kind of dirt on him.
