A cargo ship docked for repairs at a port on the northeastern coast of China caught fire Thursday, killing at least 25 people who were on board at the time, according to Chinese state media.The ship was being fixed by Beihai Shipbuilding Co.in the port of Qingdao — one of the country's major shipping hubs — when it caught fire at approximately 11:15 a.m.

The ship-tracking website VesselFinder lists it as sailing under the Liberian flag.The Associated Press reported that the fire was extinguished at around 2:30 p.m., a little over three hours after it started.Videos online showed plumes of white smoke billowing from the ship.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
