Georgia twisted twin who killed mom with sister released from prison after serving half her sentence

A Georgia woman who admitted to killing her mother alongside her twin sister when they were teenagers – later earning the chilling nickname “Twisted Twins” – was released from prison, having only served a portion of her sentence.Tasmiyah Whitehead was freed on parole from Pulaski State Prison on August 5 after she was ordered to spend 30 years behind bars for murder, according to jail records viewed by The Post.Whitehead – along with her sister Jasmiyah – stabbed their mother Jarmecca “Nikki” Whitehead between 50 and 80 times during a fight inside her Rockdale County home on January 13, 2010.Whitehead, who is now 33 years old and goes by the nickname Tas, was released as part of the plea deal that reduced a murder charge to voluntary manslaughter, according to WSB-TV.Tasmiyah had been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the manslaughter charge, plus five years for possession of a knife during a crime and another five for false statements to the government.She had served 16 years in prison between pre-trial detention and the 12 years after her conviction.The sentencing the girls received angered their grandmother, who claimed the court didn’t care about Nikki Whitehead.“You offer someone 30 years with parole?” Lynda Whitehead said during her granddaughter’s trials in 2014, according to WSB-TV.“It is like she is not important, she is the victim, it is like no one is concerned with what happened to her.”Tasmiyah had been eligible for parole since 2017, but served an additional nine years before the parole board granted her eligibility, the outlet reported.Jasmiyah isn’t eligible for parole until May 2028, despite taking the same plea deal as her sister.The demented sisters had only been back living with their mother for a week because they had become violent and too hard to handle for her, in January 2010.The three got into a fight after the twins woke up late for school and were told by their mother, “You’re late for school, you’re...
