Levity Vow to Break North American Laser Record With New 'Octobot' Production

Levity‘s annual snow day is growing another set of arms. The Chicago trio have announced ‘Snow Day 3: The Octobot,’ a two-night run at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall on January 29th and 30th, 2027.

The event will debut a stage production built around a robotic octopus, pictured on the announcement flyer hovering with laser beams firing from its limbs. The EDM.com Class of 2024 trio said the new stage production is primed to break the record for the most lasers at a concert in North American history, a claim they first made in February after deploying 330 lasers during ‘Snow Day 2’ at Wintrust Arena.

“A 2 night experience with our biggest production, 2 unique ‘Octobot’ sets, a secret b2b, extra sound, and we’ll be breaking the record again for the most lasers at a concert in North American history!” the group wrote on Instagram.“This is our biggest and most special show of our lives & as always, we’ll be upgrading the Snow Day experience to new levels this year.” Escalation is perhaps the story of the series.

‘Snow Day’ began as a single night at Radius Chicago in January 2025, graduated to an arena and a 360° ‘Lasership’ rig in 2026, and now occupies two nights inside a 170,000-square-foot exhibition hall. Each night will feature a distinct ‘Octobot’ set, according to the group, along with a secret b2b and additional support.

Levity’s announcement arrives weeks ahead of their headline debut at Red Rocks, where they are set to launch a separate production concept, Levi-Rocks Year 1: The Volcano.Pre-sale registration for ‘Snow Day 3’ is open now before it begins September 16th at 10am local time.
