Packers reward Tucker Kraft with $92 million extension in return from torn ACL

Tucker Kraft’s return from a torn ACL will include a massive new contract that will make him one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL.The Packers’ fourth-year tight end has agreed to a four-year, $75 million extension worth up to $92 million — including a $26.5 million signing bonus — according to multiple reports.The 25-year-old Kraft, Green Bay’s third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, missed the second half of the 2025 season after suffering the right-knee injury on Nov.2 while blocking on a running play in a Week 9 loss to the Panthers.He finished his third NFL campaign with 32 receptions for 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight appearances after establishing himself as the team’s starter the previous season.Kraft is expected to play in Sunday’s season opener against the Vikings, but he revealed in mid-August that he expects to be on a snap count early in the campaign.“They’re going to take into account my rep range probably until halfway through the season,” Kraft told reporters.

“And then they’re going to just pat me on the ass and send me out there and send me to the wolves.“How this offense is, I’m gonna get as comfortable as I can playing those reps in those games that I was playing previously, those games when I was 50-60 reps, 85 reps against the Cowboys in overtime.It’s just the more you can do, all the hats I can wear on the offense, I want to bring everything to the table.”At $18.75 million per year, Kraft’s new deal leaves him behind only San Francisco’s George Kittle ($19.1 million) and Arizona’s Trey McBride ($19 million) in annual salary at his position, according to Over the Cap.He will receive $31.5 million in Year 1, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.Green Bay also signed receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson to multi-year contract extensions in the offseason, locking up several key weapons around quarterback Jordan Love....
