Knicks tickets are 500% more expensive this season and even the worst seats cost more than $1K

Secondary ticket prices to the New York Knicks home opener have shot up more than 500% from last year — now costing over $1,300 to get in the door.The cheapest seats on the secondary market for the Oct.20 opening night game against the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden cost $1,346 a piece, including fees, according to data company TicketIQ.That is a massive 526% increase from the 2025 home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which had a final get-in price of $215, according to the company.Opening Night get-in price is higher than all Knicks playoff games last season except for Game 3 and Game 4 of the NBA Finals, TicketIQ reported.“The championship has completely reset the Knicks ticket market,” said Jesse Lawrence, CEO of TicketIQ.The get-in price for games at MSG will be roughly 47% higher than last year — jumping from $234 last season to $344 this upcoming season, according to TicketIQ.Driving the price surge for the home opener are two major basketball milestones.The Knicks will raise a championship banner into the rafters in MSG for the first time in 53 years — when the team last won the NBA Finals in 1973.The game will also be the debut of LeBron James as a 76er after he ditched the Los Angeles Lakers for the City of Brotherly Love this past off season.The market for tickets on opening night is still fluid and the get-in price is down 5% over the last four days from $1,417, according to TicketIQ.The Post reached out to MSG for information regarding ticket prices for the 2026-27 season....
