Florida DUI suspect drops baby, toddler into gator-infested swamp while running from cops: video

Wild footage captured a Florida dad dropping his baby and toddler into swamp water while fleeing from cops after a drunken car wreck.Isaac Kinsey, 27, allegedly drunkenly crashed his car through a road-closure sign into a construction area in the early hours of Wednesday morning and fled the scene with his two children, aged 2 and 10 months, in tow, the Lakeland Police Department wrote in a social media post.Terrifying bodycam and drone footage posted by the department showed the moment cops responded to the crash and noticed two child safety seats inside the car — springing them into a wild chase to find Kinsey and his kids.

Kinsey was seen in a drone video running through a wooded, swampy area while carrying his children, falling multiple times as he tried to navigate the difficult terrain in complete darkness.Alligators are known to live in the region.The dad’s frequent stumbles caused him to drop the infant and tot into standing water, the heart-pounding clip showed.

Cops desperately navigated the dense marshland and eventually took Kinsey into custody, rescuing the two children, according to the video.“Where are you? Come out this way, come out this way!” one officer could be heard yelling while aiming a flashlight toward the alleged deadbeat dad.“Give me the baby! Give me the baby now!” the officer told Kinsey before reaching out and grabbing one of the crying children.

Both kids were taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries.Kinsey was also taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Kinsey allegedly admitted to officers that he was intoxicated and that his driver’s license was suspended when he crashed his car with his children on board.He has been charged with eight misdemeanor offenses and three felony offenses, including two counts of negligent child abuse with great bodily harm, according to authorities.
