@, the Philadelphia psych-folk duo of Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak, are sharing one more single from their new album, Autosmile, as well as news of a headlining tour.That single, “Bird,” comes with a surreal, Caity Arthur-directed video that seeks beauty in sadness, much like the song itself.
Check it out below.Elaborating on the backstory for “Bird,” Filipczak said, “This song was inspired by dead baby birds that kept appearing on my deck.It was written on a bike ride through Druid Hill Park in Baltimore.
The lyrics have lots of puns which hopefully offset their hopelessness.”Autosmile is out October 16 via 4AD.@ have shared three songs from the follow-up to 2023’s Mind Palace Music so far: the seven-minute title track, “Punish My Mind,” and today’s number.
