Never miss a story “At this time, we’re unable to provide an additional comment regarding the closure of our retail locations.Scrubs & Beyond has made the strategic decision to wind down its brick-and-mortar retail locations and continue serving customers primarily through our online store,” the company said in a statement to TheStreet.RTM Nexus CEO Dominick Miserandino told TheStreet that the the kind of product Scrubs & Beyond sales could have contributed to their shift to online-only sales.
“I’m thinking if it’s something that’s a fixed, not try-on product, repetitive, same uniform every time, people don’t want to go to a specialty shop anymore.They [want to] go on Amazon, find their thing, and be done with it,” he told TheStreet.The news follows the announcement of other clothing retailers, including California-based plus-sized women’s clothing outlet Torrid, also closing stores and focusing on online sales.Online shopping has grown rapidly in the U.S.
