The NFL season has only been back for one week and the fans have already lost their minds.Content creator Bobby Peacock has created many viral skits, but one of his latest has football fans and ravers alike laughing in unity.
His video begins with a question asking why Spotify changed the version of Avicii’s legendary 2011 single ‘Levels’ we know and love.He then plays the track, which dubiously features the same timeless melody of the original but with strange production.
The song was recreated using nothing more than the voice of Sunday Night Football announcer Cris Collinsworth, which has achieved a level of meme recognition few announcers can claim.After “Collinsworthing” the viewer, Peacock breaks down the production.
Instead of using a synth or piano to play the iconic ‘Levels’ melody, he used edited vocal samples of Collinsworth saying “here’s a guy,” one of the broadcaster’s most frequently deployed verbal signatures.It wasn’t long until EDM enthusiasts and NFL fans started sending the clip to “Collinsworth” their friends.
