GRiZ is giving back to Denver with two free shows September 27 at the open-air JunkYard venue, where he’ll perform sets at 1pm and a 7pm.The announcement comes on the heels of his sold-out two-night return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre earlier this month, his first headline of the iconic venue in five years.
GRiZ has a long history of throwing last-minute free shows under his ‘Free Shows for the People’ concept, typically in Michigan or in the Denver-metro area, giving back to the local communities that have long supported him.“I know how crazy it was getting Red Rocks tix, we had so so many ppl left out of the show that I had to do something for yall,” GRiZ wrote on Instagram.
“SO! Sunday, September 27 we are throwing our BIGGEST ever FREE SHOWS FOR THE PEOPLE at JUNKYARD! We have worked incredibly hard to put this together, the show is 100% free and we are also selling merch there where 100% of the profits go to local Denver charities.” GRiZ also told fans to expect a proper return to the city next year at a larger venue to accommodate more fans.Before that, he has a packed schedule to close out the year including a performnce at John Summit’s Experts Only Festival in New York and three sets at his own Seven Stars Festival.
