Jets confident turnovers will keep coming and turn into big things

“I think this week, we’ll try to make an emphasis of ‘Let’s keep our foot on the pedal the entirety of these practices and make sure we finish strong.’ ”That didn’t happen against Green Bay, as the Packers scored the final 13 points of the game.The Jets were left to wonder how they didn’t get more turnovers despite the five forced fumbles.“It’s tough,’’ Phillips said.“Guys were running to the football every time it was out.
I hope that was our unfair share of not coming up with them.”“It’s making sure we take advantage of opportunities,” Glenn said.“Get the ball in positive territory and we have to be able to score.’’“We preach takeaways,’’ safety Dane Belton said.
“When you get the ball out five times, that’s great.You want more than one [recovery].”But Glenn is confident if they continue “attacking the football [and] punching the football out, I do know this: Those things are gonna come around.
We want guys to continue to do that because you want that to be a part of your DNA when it comes to defensive football.�...
