Commanders searching for answers after crushing Jayden Daniels injury update

Jayden Daniels’ injury is just as bad as it looked.The Washington Commanders quarterback was diagnosed with a dislocation in his left elbow, the same injury that took him out for three games last season.The team is awaiting imaging results after Daniels was carted off the field with the gruesome-looking injury during Sunday’s 37-20 road loss to the Cowboys.NFL Network reported that Daniels will consult with a variety of experts in the coming days, following team protocol.In Daniels’ stead, Marcus Mariota will start for the Commanders in Week 3 when they host the Seahawks.Last season’s dislocation did not require surgery but was a part of an otherwise injury-riddled campaign. Injuries are quickly becoming the theme of Daniels’ career.Daniels played in just seven games last season; he suffered a left knee sprain in Week 2 and returned in Week 5 just to suffer a hamstring strain two weeks later. In Week 9, he dislocated his elbow and returned in Week 14 before being shut down after a hard fall on the same elbow during the game.If a similar situation unfolds for Daniels this season, Washington will have to play Mariota for more than just its Week 3 tilt against Seattle.That is a nightmare spot for Washington, considering its upcoming schedule.The Commanders face the Seahawks, Colts, Giants (twice), 49ers, Eagles, Rams and Bengals through Week 10 of the NFL season. ...
