My late friend Peter Max filled my home with art and my life with memories

Peter Max, my longtime forever friend.We dinner’d together.

I visited his studio, he visited my home.I have more Maxes than furniture.

When a magazine printed a full-page glossy black-and-white photo of me, he Peter Max’d the magazine’s full page.He did my friend Our Town columnist Arlene Kayatt’s face on a paper napkin.

“I didn’t know what to do so I pointed to some guy in the front who shook his head no.Cindy jumped up and said, ‘He’s right here!’ The spotlight hit him and I said, ‘Of course, you look so young I didn’t recognize you!’ Oy, a killer moment.” Willner’s next move was to go through the floor.Peter’s smiling somewhere now.Autumn is upon us.
