Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart to undergo season-ending knee surgery, reports say
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will miss the rest of the season after injuring multiple ligaments in his left knee, according to multiple reports.Dart is expected to undergo surgery after damaging his meniscus, MCL and PCL, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.The second-year quarterback sustained the injury in the first quarter of the Giants’ 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.
Dart was attempting a pass on third-and-8 when he was sandwiched between multiple defenders, and a Rams linebacker collided with his left knee.Dart, 23, was the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.He began his rookie season as a backup to Russell Wilson, but became New York’s starter after an 0-3 start to the season.In 14 games and 12 starts, Dart completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards during his rookie season, throwing 15 touchdowns and five interceptions.
