Trans athletes have stolen nearly 2,300 gold medals from women and girls in the US: report

Transgender athletes have stripped women and girls of nearly 2,300 gold medals and more than $500,000 in prize money over the past four decades, according to an analysis from a conservative think tank.Athletes competing in sports events that don’t match their birth sex have bumped biological women out of championship spots 2,293 times since the mid-1980s, according to the evangelical-leaning public policy nonprofit, Concerned Women for America.“Biological men have distinct advantages over biological women.This reality not only puts women in harm’s way, but it eliminates opportunities for biological women to earn a living and win competitions,”  Penny Nance, CEO and President, Concerned Women for America LAC said in a press release.“How many more women and girls will be subjected to an uneven playing field? It’s time to put an end to this inherent unfairness and protect women’s sports.”The group also found that trans athletes, who were born “male,” have “stolen” $501,498 in prize money from women and girls in professional sports.For the report , the think tank analyzed data from a HeCheated.org, a volunteer-run online database that documents instances of trans women athletes participating in female sports events.In total, it reportedly found they have competed in more than 14,301 female sporting events, including amateur and professional.Concerned Women for America called on Congress to pass the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which would ban transgender women athletes from playing on female sports teams at schools across the country.
