Judges stunning ruling paves way for release of alleged Josh Jacobs attack video
Video purportedly showing Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs putting his hands on a woman might surface after all.A Brown County, Wisc.judge ruled on Thursday against sealing evidence in Jacobs’ battery case, opening the door for the potential release of the footage that allegedly shows the NFL star attacking his former girlfriend.In making his ruling, judge Marc Hammer put the power to relinquish evidence in Jacobs’ case in the hands of the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.“Any new requests for the records will be handled by the HLPD, which will determine whether it is considered fair to release those records,” Demovsky said.
“The victim or Jacobs will be granted time to appear if the HLPD decides to release the records.”Jacobs was charged with one count of battery and one count of criminal damage to property after prosecutors alleged he roughed up a woman, identified as “ANM,” during a heated May dispute at his home in Wisconsin.A criminal complaint stated Jacobs threw the woman to the ground and later damaged her phone.Part of the altercation, prosecutors said, was captured by surveillance cameras.After Jacobs pleaded no contest to the charges inside a court room on Sept.
