Amazon drops trailer of new star-studded Madden movie on 50th anniversary of Raiders Super Bowl dominance

Nicolas Cage is John Madden in Amazon’s new biographical film.Cage will play the legendary football coach and broadcaster in “Madden,” with the film set to premiere globally on Prime Video on Nov.

18.The trailer gave viewers the first taste of Cage as Madden, the famed NFL coach, broadcaster and the man behind EA’s Madden video game franchise.The story follows Madden after he steps away from coaching the Oakland Raiders after leading the organization to a Super Bowl in 1977.

After being forced to retire because of health issues, Madden becomes an NFL analyst and the brains behind one of the best-selling video games ever.The upcoming R-rated sports biopic features Christian Bale as Raiders owner Al Davis and is directed by David O.Russell.John Mulaney plays EA founder Trip Hawkins, while Kathryn Hahn stars as Madden’s wife, Virginia.

Sienna Miller plays Davis’ wife, Carol, and Shane Gillis appears as former Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler.“Madden” opens in theaters on Nov.11 before it becomes available to stream on Prime Video....
