SOFI TUKKER and OneRepublic Make a Splash With New Single, 'TSUNAMI'

SOFI TUKKER and OneRepublic have joined forces for the first time on their new single, ‘TSUNAMI,’ out today via Republic Records.SOFI TUKKER’s Sophie Hawley-Weld brings expansive vocals that envelop the track in her signature slink while OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder offers a silky counterpart that glides along its breezy, buoyant groove.

The two trade verses about love crashing in unexpectedly before coming together in the chorus.“It was awesome to be in the studio with a legendary songwriter like Ryan,” SOFI TUKKER said in a statement.

“It was so natural and it came quick and we loved it ever since.It took a bunch of different versions of it and ended up feeling timeless, musical and lush.” This is far from OneRepublic’s first time in the EDM space.

The band linked up with Alesso this summer on ‘In Your Eyes‘ and released ‘With Your Love‘ alongside ILLENIUM in 2025.Last year also saw them team with Kygo for ‘Chasing Paradise,’ the latest in a string of collaborations with the Norwegian dance music superstar.

The release of ‘TSUNAMI’ arrives as SOFI TUKKER’s ‘Animal Talk’ headline tour continues across North America, a run that has included stops at storied venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and has benefitted local animal shelters through a partnership with the philanthropic firm PLUS1.Upcoming dates include Pacha New York and a pair of performances at the iconic Austin City Limits festival before the tour wraps in Mexico City at the end of October.
