New images show gunman suspected in fatal shooting during botched jewelry heist outside NYC strip club

New surveillance images show the hooded, masked gunman suspected of fatally shooting a man during a botched jewelry robbery outside a Queens strip club – with one photo showing the moment he pulled the trigger.Hector Figuereo, 49, was in front of the Riviera Gentleman’s Club at Steinway Street and 35th Avenue in Astoria around 3:50 a.m.Thursday when a masked mugger approached him from behind, according to authorities.The gunman, who is yet to be identified, tried to snatch Figuereo’s jewelry before opening fire and hitting him in the back, law enforcement sources said.One photo released by the NYPD Friday captures the moment the shooter fired shots, another shows him sitting down hunched over and yet another depicts his getaway car, described as a white SUV that fled northbound on 37th Street.Figuereo, of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, was rushed to the Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he died from his injuries, police said.  It remained unclear Friday whether the two men knew each other or if they had been patronizing the club.No arrests have been made, while the NYPD is asking the public for help in tracking down the suspect. Anyone with information on the deadly shooting is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X @NYPDTips....
