Why never discuss absentee parents who fail to supervise their children or help them with homework? What The Post further fails to point out is that charter schools cherry-pick the best students, and that the chronic absence of students is an issue that staff can’t control. Volumes of research have actually shown that parents are more important in kids’ academic development than teachers.
