Gorgon City's Next Album to Release Independently "With Total Creative Freedom"

Gorgon City have announced a new album, Aether, marking a new chapter for the hit-making house music duo as they roll out their first independent project through their own label, REALM Records.The announcement came through a celebratory social media post in which the duo said their sixth album took shape without input from outside parties.

Each of their first five albums released through subsidiaries of Universal.“Aether came together so naturally, with no outside pressure,” Gorgon City wrote.

“Just the two of us enjoying writing together and making music we love alongside some amazing collaborators from across the globe.” Due out November 13th on REALM, Aether is Gorgon City’s first album since 2024’s scintillating Reverie.It’s a big moment for the chart-topping producers, whose roles as label heads give them direct control over the music’s creative direction, release timing, artwork and promotion.

“We’re incredibly proud of this project and have loved writing it with total creative freedom,” the duo said.“We feel so grateful that after all these years, we still get to sit in the studio together, make music and call it our job.” The announcement did not include a tracklist or details about a supporting tour, but it did reveal a new single, ‘Only Love,’ which features rising singer-songwriter Caroline Byrne.
