Sophie Cunningham trolls Aja Wilson over fan altercation at Fever-Aces playoff game

Sophie Cunningham appeared to joke about Aces star A’ja Wilson in a social media post on Wednesday morning, following an altercation between the Las Vegas player and a Fever fan during Game 2 of the teams’ first-round playoff series. Cunningham, who has not been afraid to mix it up on the court, posted the jab on TikTok, expressing her amazement about the “comeback year for the point.” The pointed comment seemed to be a reference, in part, to the moment on Tuesday night when, after Wilson was fouled by Cunningham, she got into a verbal altercation with a fan seated near the baseline and was given a technical for unsportsmanlike behavior. Video showed the man, who was already standing, taking two small steps and pointing toward Wilson, appearing to say “That’s on you,” which led the Aces player to confront him and walk into the row of seats behind the basket. In her video on the social media platform, Cunningham recorded herself laying on a couch and poking fun at the situation. “Not trying to be dramatic at all, like seriously,” she started off saying.“I was just here having my morning coffee and what a damn comeback year for the ‘point.’ Who would have ever thought? Just who would have ever thought?”The TikTok video also likely was referencing her own “point” earlier this season when she got into an on-court altercation with Mercury player DeWanna Bonner, which led to her going viral. The social media post is sure to add fuel to the fire in the best-of-3 series between the Fever and Aces, which is even at 1-1 heading into a deciding Game 3 on Thursday. The winner-take-all showdown will take place at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas and the post could come back to haunt Cunningham if the Aces come out on top....
