Donald Trump puts WNBA on blast with Enes Kanter, Dennis Rodman hype speech

Enes Kanter Freedom and Dennis Rodman attended President Donald Trump’s campaign rally at Choctaw Event Center in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday.Trump took the time to give Kanter and Rodman a shoutout as he ranted about the transgender athlete debate.“Have men playing in women’s sports?” Trump said with the crowd booing.
“Where the hell is Freedom? Stand up please.I mean, in all fairness, this guy is a monster.
He dreams of playing against women.Like he’s willing to say that he’s a woman in order to play against women.
And I don’t think he really believes that, but that’s OK,” the President said jokingly.Trump proceeded to give Rodman a shoutout, calling him the all-time rebounding king.In a post on X, Kanter discussed details of the conversation he had with the president and the former Chicago Bulls star.
“After a great conversation with President @realDonaldTrump, I officially invited him to my first @WNBA game in 2027.Also, @NBA Hall of Famer @dennisrodman has agreed to coach me this offseason and get me ready for the #WNBA season,” Kanter wrote.
“Can’t wait to become the greatest female @WNBA player of all time.Rules Are Rules!”Kanter thrust himself into the WNBA controversy surrounding the transgender athlete debate earlier this season.
The former NBA center declared himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA draft and has been involved in all sorts of drama with players from the league.The WNBA has refused to specifically nail down what qualifies as a woman that can play in the league.
