Sicko ex-Team USA gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar removed from sex offender registry

Larry Nassar — the vile ex-Team USA gymnastics doctor convicted of sexually abusing hundreds of young female athletes — has been removed from the Michigan Sex Offender Registry. The move is a result of a recent Michigan Supreme Court decision that allows the names of sex offenders to be purged from the database if their crimes were committed before July 1, 2011, FOX News reported.Nassar’s name was scrubbed along with roughly 20,000 other convicted sex offenders’ from the state police database, according to the station, which cited Eaton County Prosecutor’s Office. The court ruled on Sept.9 that amendments in 2021 to the Sex Offender Registration Act— which had been the target of state and federal civil rights challenges — can’t be used retroactively to require sex offender registration. “Our community, along with the victims of these crimes, expected the registry to provide a measure of protection and awareness — assurances that have now been removed by the Court’s ruling.”It added, “Nassar is not the only offender relieved of the obligation to register before completing a prison sentence.Individuals such as Damon Warner, Kevin Kalmbach, Jay Yensen, Justin Bowles, Joe Deleon, and Ernesto Uribe—all convicted in Eaton County of sexually assaulting minors—remain incarcerated but will eventually return to the community...
