Deadly park chaosA father died after he was hit by a bicycle while taking a stroll through Central Park on his way to work (“Bike strike kills dad in Cent.Pk.,” Sept.
29). Years ago, cars drove in Central Park.While the exhaust was bad for the air, they at least observed traffic lights. Lights are now sometimes covered over and bikers, e-bikers and motorcyclists rule the road — speeding from both directions and not stopping for walkers.
One literally puts their life in the hands of bicyclists when trying to cross the road. People ride bikes on pathways, and smoke cigarettes, marijuana and litter while riding. Hysenaj, an immigrant who escaped communism and became a successful New York City builder, defies the caricature of America that Cortez and other socialists portray.No wonder AOC is avoiding a debate with Hysenaj while the media covers for her.
